Roelien Brink
Roelien Brink is the Deputy Head of Department CEP, SLPs and online programmes, and lectures in the Department of Applied Information Systems. She is a member of Universities South Africa (USAf) World of Work Strategy Group and a partner of Work- Integrated Learning South Africa (WILSA) under the auspices of THENSA. Currently she is part of an international research cluster conducting research on Work Integrated Learning (WIL) in Ireland and South Africa. She is the lead researcher for WILSA on an environmental scan of the Work-Integrated Learning landscape in South Africa. She is also part of the Emerald Insight Editorial Guest Team for the PCL International WIL Unconference, Higher Education Skills and Work Based Learning Journal.
Dalien René Benecke
Dalien René Benecke is an associate professor in the Department of Strategic Communication and specialises in experiential learning for strategic communication students, activism, community influencers, network
theory, internal communication and leadership. She is coordinating various work-integrated learning placements for students and community engagements. She also mentors the Students’ Public Relations Association (SPRA). She served as resident of the professional body
the Public Relations Association of Southern Africa (PRISA) during 2019/20 and currently holds the portfolio for Education, Training and Research. René believes in providing students with
the opportunity to make a difference in society through their experiential learning actions. Her community involvement includes the development of young practitioners through active citizenship.
Elton Romeo Hart
Elton Romeo Hart is an admitted attorney who currently works as a
Clinic Attorney at the University of Johannesburg Soweto Law Clinic and is part of the Department of Procedural Law in the Faculty of Law at the University of Johannesburg. He is a member of the Cape Law Society (CLS) as well as the Law Society for the Northern Province (LSNP). He holds the following qualifications: Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Management Sciences from the University of Stellenbosch,
a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Stellenbosch as well as a Bachelor of Commerce Honours
in Logistics Management from the University of Stellenbosch.
He started his career as a candidate attorney and was later admitted as
an attorney in 2007 with the law firm Visagie Vos in Cape Town. He was admitted with Right of Appearance in the High Courts of South Africa in 2008 and has been practising since then.
He began his employment with the University of Johannesburg in 2012.
He is currently an instructor for the Law Society of South Africa (LSSA) Legal Education and Development Programme (LEAD) at the Wits Law School. He has been an instructor for the LSSA since 2013 and regularly appears as a legal analyst on SABC Newsroom, ENCA as well as on the radio station RSG.
