Dimpho Maponya
Dimpho Maponya is a philosophy lecturer and a doctoral candidate at the University of Johannesburg. Her research covers themes of gender, feminism, and decolonisation. Maponya is a recipient of a number of awards, including the South African Women in Science Master’s Fellowship from the Department of Science and Technology (2017), UJ’s University Research Committee scholarship (2020) and UJ’s Faculty of Humanities Most Promising Young Teacher award (2020).
Veli Mitova
Veli Mitova is Professor
in Philosophy and Director of the African Centre for Epistemology and Philosophy of Science (ACEPS) at the University of Johannesburg. She is also the South African team leader for The Geography of Philosophy Project, and a principal investigator for the Epistemic Injustice, Reasons, and Agency project funded
by the British Academy. She is the author of Believable Evidence (CUP 2017), as well as the editor
of Epistemic Decolonisation (2020) and of The Factive Turn in Epistemology
(CUP 2018).
Josien Reijer
Josien Reijer is a social scientist who joined the international Geography of Philosophy Project, run by the ACEPS, as a postdoctoral research fellow. In addition, she is one of the principal investigators for the fruSTRAIGHTing- the-norm project, run by the Centre for Race, Gender and Class. Reijer obtained her PhD (Sociology) in 2019 from the University of Johannesburg, her BSc (Human Geography) in 2010 and her MSc(Res) (International Development Studies) in 2013, both from the University of Amsterdam.
