Lecturers’ outputs/ innovations derived from the project: • I produced my own Artists book, which will be submitted as a creative output. This work, together with work from Gordon Froud, Diane Victor, and Avi Sooful, were exhibited at the Documenta-15 forum with the student work, as well as exhibited as part of the SA Visual Art Historians conference exhibition in Kimberley in August 22. • Professor Melanie Samson (Department of Sociology) has since established a UJ Reclaimers Network Group, which has expanded participation to an additional five FADA departments for 2023. • Kim Berman and Avi Sooful have written up the project and submitted an article on the project for publication. This initiative, funded by the UJ Teaching and Innovation Fund, achieved enormous success and has expanded significantly into a faculty-wide community engagement initiative, in partnership with the African Reclaimers Organisation (ARO) for 2023. In addition, two of the Honours students have registered to pursue this communityengaged participatory research for their Master’s studies.
