SARChI-ID Policy Seminar Series (IDPSS) IDR Launch 2025 hosted by SARChI-ID, UNIDO and the Industrial Development Corporation SARChI-ID continued to play a prominent role in policy engagement and public dialogue on industrial development enabling the integration of research into policy and practice through key stakeholder partnerships. Strong national and international partnerships with key stakeholders in government, industry, and academia. include: ƒ The Department of Science, Technology and Innovation (DSTI) ƒ The Department of Employment and Labour (DEL). ƒ The Institute for Economic Justice (IEJ), Trade and Industrial Policy Strategies (TIPS), and the Southern Centre for Inequality Studies (SCIS). ƒ The Technology and Industrialisation for Development (TIDE) Centre at the University of Oxford ƒ The University of the West of England (UWE) ƒ The United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER) ƒ The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). ƒ The ‘Trade and Industrial Policy Strategies (TIPS) Annual Forum’, in partnership with TIPS, and in association with the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (dtic). Sustainability, innovation, and the 4IR are central themes across research, capacity-building, and public and policy engagement activities that will continue in 2026.
