A significant proportion of CBE research output is published in internationally indexed journals. In this regard, 57% of research output is accounted for by Scopus indexed journal. This is followed by 18% by Directory of Open Access Journals (DOA); 5% by International Bibliography of Social Sciences (IBSS); and 4% by Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) and World of Science (WoS). Our full professors and associate professors contributed 281 ROUs (38.5%). This is followed by senior lecturers, and lecturers who produced 147 ROUs (20%). Our master’s and doctoral student produce 104 ROUs (14%). Our post-doctoral research fellows produce 98 ROUs (13.5%).
