Conclusion Reflection can be a very daunting experience. Being open and honest with yourself while you reflect on the one thing you hold dear to your heart can be scary sometimes. Being flexible to the diverse student population is challenging. However, I believe if I keep including my students’ voices in my debate, I will be able to flow and change as the seasons in higher education come and go. I think a facilitator in any domain will never know everything. However, by establishing a good CoL, I have included my students’ experiences in the module content and offered a course that seamlessly consists of the latest pedagogies and technologies. Giving students a voice in the educational journey, embedding my teaching in a proven theory and using technology to my advantage have allowed me to keep my 21stcentury students engaged in the classroom. However, we must be honest and ask if this teaching type works. Although I am still learning to navigate this new normal (asynchronistic online teaching), I do think that I am on the right track.
