2. TOPOGRAPHIC MAPPING (GOOGLE EARTH PRO AND GPS VISUALIZER) Students conducted meticulous topographic surveys using remote sensing tools such as Google Earth Pro and GPS Visualizer. These surveys documented key features and terrain characteristics, informing subsequent design decisions. The topographic survey results were compiled into comprehensive reports detailing the survey location, methodology, as shown in Exhibit 3, and findings. Exhibit 1: Site location 3. GEOTECHNICAL INVESTIGATIONS Thorough geotechnical investigations were performed to analyse soil composition and stability, guiding foundation design and construction. The students’ reports included site descriptions, methods of investigation as illustrated in Exhibit 4, test results, evaluations of geotechnical properties, and recommendations, showcasing their ability to conduct and interpret complex geological studies. 4. TOWNSHIP LAYOUT DESIGN The township layout design divided the development land into parcels or zones to optimise land use and facilitate infrastructure integration. This process included creating a locality map and detailed demographics for the proposed development. Students demonstrated their ability to plan and design functional urban spaces that cater to various community needs, as illustrated in Exhibit 5.
