This year was no exception. “A Black-Tie Affair,” theme evoked the classic black and white dress code, inspiring guests to don their finest attire for an evening of festivities. The monochromatic theme was thoughtfully chosen not only for its aesthetic but true to the symbolism this year’s focus on 30 years of democracy in South Africa. Evocative Guest Speaker Guest speaker Beulah Mosupye delivered an evocative address, reflecting on the 30-year milestone through the tourism and hospitality lens. As the Founder and CEO of Hauweng Tourism 4All Society, Mosupye painted an evocative picture of tourism in South Africa pre-1994, and reflected on progress over past three decades, delving on key opportunities and challenges of building a more inclusive and equitable sector in future.
