Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering; and Bachelor of Science Electrical and Electronic Engineering underwent accreditation by ECSA. In preparation for this accreditation visit, 10 consultations were held where CAPQP facilitated briefing sessions, and SER development workshops and attended both ECSA Trainings and Mock Audit sessions. The total number of attendees in also the workshops conducted in 2022 is approximately 330 UJ staff members, the majority of which are academic staff members and very few administrative staff who support the academic functioning of these programmes at the faculty level. The tables that follows details programme reviews that have been completed and those that are still in process. TABLE 24. PROGRAMME REVIEWS IN PROCESS Faculty Name of programme College of Business and Economics Diploma in Financial Services Operations Diploma in Business Information Technology Advanced Diploma in Business Information Technology Bachelor of Commerce in Finance Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Quantitative Finance Bachelor of commerce in Information Management Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Information Management Master of Commerce in Competition and Economic Regulation Faculty of Art Design and Architecture Diploma in Jewellery Design and Manufacture Bachelor of Arts Honours in Interior Design Bachelor of Honours in Industrial Design Faculty of Humanities Diploma in Public Relations and Communication Faculty of Law Diploma in Paralegal Studies (CEP) All 12 programmes will likely be completed in the first semester of 2023. It must be noted that programme reviews for 360 credit qualifications are more complex than the 120 or 180 credit programmes, as the large numbers of staff and modules are unwieldy in a virtual space. In an attempt to streamline the workshops, CAPQP decided that staff teaching in programmes with reviews scheduled for 2023 will attend a generic Workshop 1. Workshop 1 deals with quality matters that apply to all programmes. Workshop 2, which deals with Programme design, will then be done per programme. 330 UJ staff members, the majority of which are academic staff members and very few administrative staff who support the academic functioning of these programmes at the faculty level All 12 programme reviews will likely be completed in the first semester of 2023 2022 ANNUAL REPORT: DIVISION FOR TEACHING EXCELLENCE 80
